A total of six people who were on board were injured when a vehicle was shot on Yay-Dawei highway on March 6 according to a statement issued by the Myanmar Police Force.
A vehicle driven by U Zaw Win, coming from Mayanchaung to Yay Phyu along Yay-Dawei highway was attacked by guns between milepost 40 and 41 around 11:00 am on March 6 by PDF. Due to the attacks, the car was crashed and the driver together with U Tun Naing, U Thiha Zwe AUng, U Yan Kyaw, U Than Naing Oo, and U Thura Soe got gunshot wounds. They were sent to Kalain Aung district hospital to treat their injuries according to the statement.
On the same day, a man was killed by gunshot wounds at the entrance of Yay Waing village, Dawei around 2:30 pm. Upon investigation, it was found that the man was U Kyaw Thein from Zahar village. When the man and his family were doing plantation at his field, ten PDF members arrived and killed him, it was reported. He was shot at his neck and head, it said.
