A new cargo terminal at Mandalay International Airport to finish build soon

Construction work of a new cargo terminal at Mandalay International Airport will be finalized by the end of this year and aviation cargos will be sent from two international airports soon, according to Department for Civil Aviation (DCA).

MC-Jalux Airport Service Co. Ltd. (MJAS) is building a cargo terminal at Mandalay International Airport to facilitate aviation cargo services at the airport.

“At present, Myanmar only has one cargo terminal at Yangon International Airport. We will be able to accept aviation cargo services at two international airports soon,” said an official from the DCA.

The Mandalay International Airport is located in middle part of Myanmar. Fruits and flowers from middle and upper areas of Myanmar and Shan State, small scale industrial products from upper Myanmar could be transported via cargo aircrafts in a shorter period of time.

Mingaladon Cargo Services (MAS) is providing air cargo services at the Yangon International Airport and the under-construction MJAS cargo services will also provide additional cargo services in Myanmar soon, sources said.
