7th Anniversary of Signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 7th Anniversary of Signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) was held at the national Reconciliation and Peacemaking Center in Nay Pyi Taw on October 15.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing sent a video message.

On the occasion of the 7th Anniversary of signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), he urged all those present to make concerted efforts for analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of peace and stability based on experiences along our route for ensuring better essence of NCA, and to organize and lure remnant organizations to sign the NCA as much as possible so as to post a historical milestone.

National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae spoke on the occasion. Then, the MC briefed the NCA processes and the event.

Afterwards, those who participated in peace processes and NCA procedures, witnesses of NCA signing occasions and committee members also gave speeches.

Then, leaders of EAOs who cooperated in peace processes and NCA procedures were presented with gifts and the ceremony came to a close.

Among the 10 NCA signatories, Chin National Front (CNF) and All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) delegates didn't attend the event.
