56 in hospital quarantine at woman and children Hospital test negative

Movement in South Oakkalapa Woman and Children Hospital in Yangon is being restricted, and 54 Myanmar people and 2 foreigners in hospital quarantine have tested negative for COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported. 

From January 31 to March 22, Myanmar had 204 persons under investigation and two under suspension of the coronavirus. There were 187 who tested negative, 10 waiting for results, and 116 who recovered. Moreover, 12 people died of other diseases although they tested negative. 

During the same period, respective hospitals in various regions and states had 243 people in hospital quarantine. Of them, 142 had discharged after 14 days. 

Myanmar has suspended issuing visa on arrival and e-visa until April 30.
