The Ministry of Information has reported that 35 temporary flood shelters have been opened in the Naypyidaw Council area to assist flood victims, and some schools have been temporarily closed.

Currently, in the Naypyidaw Council area, flood victims from 43 wards and village tracts are being relocated to 35 temporary shelters set up in each respective township. They are receiving necessary health care and assistance.

Due to heavy rains, river and creek levels have risen, causing flooding in areas such as Pyinmana Township, Tatkon Township, Zeyathiri Township, and Pobbathiri Township. As a result, temporary flood shelters have been opened, and rescue operations are actively being conducted.

The relocation efforts involve members of the military, Myanmar police, fire services, administrative teams, the Myanmar Red Cross Society, social organizations, and local citizens. They are working together to transport flood victims to safety using motorboats and vehicles.

The Department of Public Health has been providing medical care to flood victims arriving at designated rescue shelters in the Naypyidaw Council area. Officials and staff are treating common injuries, colds, coughs, fevers, and other ailments. Patients with more severe conditions are being transferred to major hospitals for further treatment.

In addition, volunteers, military families, staff, and various organizations have been distributing food boxes, clean drinking water, fried noodles, clothing, blankets, mosquito nets, and other essential supplies to those affected.

Due to the impact of Cyclone Ragi, water levels have risen in the Ngalike Creek, Sinthay Creek, and Paunglaung River in the Naypyidaw Council area. This has led to flooding, riverbank erosion, damage to power poles and buildings, and the collapse of roads and bridges. Landslides and damage to homes have also been reported. In flood-affected towns and villages, power outages have occurred, and basic education schools have been temporarily closed.

In Lelway, Dekkhinathiri, and Zabuthiri townships, heavy rainfall has caused water levels to rise in the Ra aung, Palway, and Ngalike creeks, but no major flooding has been reported in residential areas. However, some households along the banks of the Dankhontine, Taungnyo, and Ngalike creeks in Otta Thiri Township have experienced minor water intrusion. Authorities have reassured that the situation is not yet critical. To prepare for any emergency, 16 temporary flood shelters have been set up to accommodate families living along the creek banks.
