According to the World Health Organisation's report on the Covid-19 situation in South East Asian countries published on May 24, there are over 1.7 million people, coming up to an average of around 3.22 percent per 100 people, that have been vaccinated for Covid-19 in Myanmar.

The report says that over 290,000,0 doses have been injected starting in January 2021 with the first wave of inoculation getting to 1772177 and the second wave at 1222723 people.

Reports by the AFP also state that over half a year of time when the Covid-19 vaccinations started, a total of over 1.5 billion doses have been injected across the globe. As of May 18, the total across 210 countries is now at 1,500,012,337 doses.

Around 60 percent of the population in China, US and India have been vaccinated with 421.9 million, 274.4 million and 184.4 million total people vaccinated respectively. The lead for vaccines to population ratio is led by Israel with 6 out of 10 Israeli citizens getting vaccinated. 

This is followed by Britain with 54 percent, Bahrain with 50 percent, US with 48 percent, Chile with 47 percent and Uruguay with 40 percent. 

Over 200 million doses have been injected, coming up to around a total of 32 percent of the population across 27 member nations of the EU with the highest in the EU being Germany with 37 percent, France with 31 percent, Italy with 32 percent and Spain with 33 percent for the first dosage of the vaccine.

There are a total of 11 countries that have yet to receive any vaccination efforts and 6 of them are from Africa; Tanzania, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad and Eritrea.
