16th Myanmar-China JBTCCC meeting to be held in Dec 2021

Myanmar and China have agreed to hold the 16th Myanmar-China Border Trade Cooperating and Coordinating Committee (JBTCCC) meeting in December 2021 according to the Ministry of Commerce.

From the border trade camps in Myanmar-China, Myanmar has exported 11,490 tons of rice worth US$ 4.5 million to China and Myanmar has exported most from Chinshwehaw border trade camp, a total of 4,390 tons of rice.

Myanmar exported 11,490 tons of rice worth US$ 4.595 million from border trade camps. About 4,300 tons of rice was exported from Muse (105 mile) trade zone, 4395 tons of rice from Chinshwehaw border trade camp and 2,795 tons of rice from Lweje trade camp from December 12 to December 18. Compared with previous week exports, over 1,400 tons of rice was less exported.

The export of broken rice during that period was as follows. 10,650 tons of broken rice from Muse (105 mile) trade zone, over 800 tons of broken rice from Chinshwehaw border trade camp totaling more than 1,450 tons of broken rice worth US$ 4.061 million was exported. About 1,300 tons of broken rice was exported more if compared with previous week export data.

China is also discussing matters on official use of the banking system, construction of Muse (105 mile) trade zone- Kyainsankyawt road. Myanmar has also discussed matters on more export of agricultural products such as corn and others, and signing of an agreement of pesticide use within 6 months of 2021 according to the Ministry of Commerce.
