A passenger bus from Yangon Bus Service (YBS) caught fire near the Padamyar bus stop on No.3 Road in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region on the afternoon of November 23, according to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Services Department.

The incident took place on November 23 at around 12:20 pm and two fire engines from Mingaladon Township fire station, two fire engines and a water bowser from Pale Auxiliary fire force went to put out the fire.

The fire was extinguished at 12.25 pm.

Two fire engines, a water bowser, an ambulance and 40 fire fighters from the Pale Auxiliary fire force went to the scene after they received a request for help. No passenger was injured. Two fire engines from Mingaladon Township fire station also joined to put out the fire, wrote Htin Lin Aung, leader of the Pale Auxiliary fire force, on his social media page.
