Published 3 November 2026

Myanmar’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued its weather forecast for the first ten days of November, predicting daytime temperatures to rise at least 1.5°C above seasonal averages across most of the country, including Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Mandalay. Nighttime temperatures will also be notably higher in central, coastal, and southern regions.

A low-pressure system is expected over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, bringing above-normal rainfall and up to eight rainy days to southern regions such as Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi, Mon, and Kayin. In contrast, central and northern areas like Mandalay, Magway, and Sagaing are likely to experience below-average rain. Morning fog is anticipated nationwide, lingering for up to eight days in mountainous and hilly regions, and one to three days across the plains.
