All international flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from Mandalay International Airport have been temporarily suspended until further notice due to operational circumstances, Myanmar Airways International (MAI) announced on the evening of September 10.

During the suspension period, all domestic flights operated by MAI and Mingalar aviation that are scheduled to arrive at or depart from Mandalay International Airport will be rerouted to Anisakan Airport in Pyin Oo Lwin.

Passengers whose travel plans are affected may request a full refund of their ticket fare or change their itinerary once free of charge, subject to seat availability.

Passengers who purchased tickets through travel agencies or online agents are advised to contact the respective agencies directly. MAI also apologized for the suspension of the flights.

MAI said that any changes concerning its flight services will be announced through its official channels.
