The Department of Myanmar Examinations announced that applications to sit the 2027 university entrance examination and the 2027 Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock University entrance examination must be submitted between September 1 and 30, 2026.
For the 2027 university entrance examination, application forms will be sold for 500 kyats each, while Ministry of Education revenue stamps worth 2,000 kyats for the examination fee will also be available from the Department of Myanmar Examinations starting September 1, 2026.
Applicants for the university entrance examination will be provided with application cards in two colors—green and pink—depending on their selected subject combinations. External candidates must purchase the 2,000-kyat revenue stamp for the examination fee from the relevant Township Education Officer’s Office, affix it to the upper left corner of the application form, and submit the completed application to the Township Education Officer’s Office in the township where they actually reside between September 1 and 30, 2026.
For students applying through basic education high schools, branch schools, affiliated schools, affiliated monastic education schools and private high schools, school principals are required to purchase 2,000-kyat revenue stamps for the examination fee, affix one to each application form, compile the applications and submit them through the respective Township Education Officer’s Office to the Department of Myanmar Examinations between September 1 and 30, 2026.
Those who fail to submit their applications within the specified period will not be allowed to sit for the examination. Applicants will also not be permitted to change to a different subject combination from the one stated on their application form and card. They are therefore advised to carefully check that the forms correspond to their selected subject combination and fill them out correctly before submission. Application forms and revenue stamps can be purchased from the headquarters of the Department of Myanmar Examinations at Office No. 52 in Nay Pyi Taw and the Yangon Branch of the Department of Myanmar Examinations on Parami Road, Ward 12, Hlaing Township, Yangon.
Similarly, for the 2027 Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock University entrance examination, application forms will be sold for 500 kyats each, while 2,000-kyat Ministry of Education revenue stamps for the examination fee will be available from the Department of Myanmar Examinations starting September 1, 2026. Applicants must select and indicate their subject combination on the blue application form and card. For students from Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock basic education high schools, school principals must purchase 2,000-kyat revenue stamps, affix them to individual application forms and submit the applications through the Township Education Officer’s Office to the Department of Myanmar Examinations between September 1 and 30, 2026. Those who fail to submit their applications by the deadline will not be permitted to sit for the examination. Changes to subject combinations will not be allowed after submission, so applicants are advised to carefully check and correctly complete their forms according to their selected subject combinations. Application forms and revenue stamps for the Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock University entrance examination can also be purchased from the headquarters of the Department of Myanmar Examinations at Office No. 52, Nay Pyi Taw, and its Yangon Branch on Parami Road, Ward 12, Hlaing Township, Yangon.
