Shan State young entrepreneurs association holds four-day CEO training course

The Shan State Young Entrepreneurs Association (SSYEA) is conducting a four-day CEO training course aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs and SME business owners in Shan State.

The training, titled Business Management for Myanmar CEOs & Entrepreneurs is being held at the Taunggyi Community Center in from May 12 to 15.

According to organizers, the course is jointly arranged by SSYEA and the Myanmar-Japan Center (MCJ) to share business strategies, management techniques, and practical knowledge with young entrepreneurs across the region.

“This training was organized in cooperation with the Myanmar-Japan Center to share business strategies and management techniques with young people in Shan State,” said SSYEA member Daw Ni Lar Shwe.

She explained that the course is especially beneficial for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including education service businesses like her own. Participants are learning how to apply technology in business operations, develop business plans, implement action strategies, monitor progress, and improve business performance.

SSYEA Chairman Khun Nay Myo said the association has been providing educational and capacity-building programs for its members in partnership with the Myanmar-Japan Center.

“The CEO course is our highest-level training program, covering leadership, ethics, rules, and regulations,” he said.

He added that on May 16, the association will hold a graduation ceremony together with Kane International School , where SME products made by members will also be displayed, including food products.

On May 17, participants are scheduled to visit factories and businesses operated by association members, including butter production and wood-processing factories in Heho.

According to organizers, around 45 participants are attending the course, including 10 from eastern Shan State, five from northern Shan State, and around 30 from southern Shan State.

Khun Nay Myo also said participants can apply immediately for future ASEAN-related programs, while those interested in opportunities in Japan can begin applying now for programs scheduled for February 2027.
