A 55-year-old man who fell into a well in Myeik Township, Tanintharyi Region, was successfully rescued alive by firefighters on the evening of March 11.
The incident occurred in the compound of a house on Sein Pan Pyar Street in Phayakhaing Ward, Myeik. U San Ni, 55, a resident of Sbei Phyu Street in the same ward, reportedly fell into a well measuring about 12 feet in diameter and approximately 30 feet deep at around 4:42 pm.
After receiving a phone call from a local resident reporting the incident, firefighters from the Myeik Township Fire Station, led by Deputy Fire Officer U Ye Min Khin Latt, rushed to the scene with a rescue vehicle and eight personnel and carried out immediately, and the victim was successfully pulled out of the well alive at around 5:15 pm, according to reports.
