It is reported that two people who were injured in explosions caused by four short-range rockets fired into Mandalay city on the morning of Election Day are receiving medical treatment at Mandalay General Hospital and have been provided with financial assistance.

On December 28, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, accompanied by regional ministers and the regional secretary, visited Mandalay General Hospital to check on two civilians who were injured when short-range rockets fired by insurgents exploded in Mandalay city. During the visit, financial assistance was provided to the injured victims.

Insurgents have been carrying out attacks in towns, wards, and villages where civilians live, including launching assaults, conducting drop-bomb attacks, and firing short-range rockets. In an attempt to disrupt and sabotage the 2025 Multi-Party Democratic General Election held on December 28, insurgents fired four short-range rockets between approximately 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on that day. Of the rockets fired, three landed and exploded near Nandaw Kyun Village in Madaya Township, while one landed and exploded on a residential house in the Amarahtani East Ward of Aungmyethazan Township in Mandalay city.

As a result of the explosion in Amarahtani East Ward, two residential houses were damaged. A 32-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife, who live in the ward, sustained injuries and were transported to Mandalay General Hospital, where they are currently receiving necessary medical treatment and healthcare services.
