The Ministry of Health has announced that operations at Kyehmon Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw have been suspended after the facility was found to be operating with an expired license and employing doctors and specialists who were not legally authorized to practice.
The ministry issued the clarification following media inquiries regarding the closure of the hospital, located in Dekkhina Thiri Township of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
According to the Ministry of Health, a surprise inspection was conducted at the hospital, during which officials discovered that its operating license had expired and that unlicensed medical practitioners were being employed.
To protect patient safety and public interest, the ministry stated that the hospital’s operations were temporarily halted pending further action.
