Yangon University has signed a Letter of Agreement (LoA) on academic cooperation with the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics (BSUIR), according to university sources.
The signing took place on November 27 during a meeting held at the Convocation Hall of Yangon University, where academic representatives from Yangon University, Mandalay University, and Mandalay University of Foreign Languages met with delegations from Belarusian State University (BSU) and BSUIR to strengthen bilateral educational collaboration.
The event was attended by Prof. Andrei Karol, Rector of Belarusian State University; Prof. Vadim Bogush, Rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics; as well as rectors, pro-rectors, and department heads from the three Myanmar universities.
Following a welcome address by Dr. Tin Maung Tun, Rector of Yangon University, introductory remarks were delivered by Prof. Andrei Karol, Prof. Vadim Bogush, Dr. Ne Win Oo, Rector of Mandalay University, and Dr. Tint Tint, Rector of Mandalay University of Foreign Languages. Officials from Yangon and Mandalay universities also presented brief overviews of their institutions.
During the meeting, Yangon University and BSUIR signed the Letter of Agreement to advance academic cooperation. The two sides later exchanged commemorative gifts to mark the occasion.
