The reopening ceremony of Lashio University in Lashio, Northern Shan State, was held on the morning of November 24 at the university campus.

According to reports, the ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Northeastern Command, Brigadier General Aye Min Oo, along with other officials, state government ministers, departmental representatives, teachers, students, and invited guests.

The regional commander and officials cut the ribbon to officially open the main entrance of Lashio University and sprinkled scented water on the university signboard. Afterwards, they visited classrooms to observe students’ lessons, offered words of encouragement to the students, and inspected ongoing renovations of the school buildings.

The commander and officials then proceeded to Lashio Education Degree College, where they continued to observe and encourage the students during their lessons and inspected the classrooms and facilities there as well.
