Yangon International Airport will be temporarily closed from 12 midnight to 6 a.m. daily, starting October 29, 2025, due to runway maintenance work, according to Myanmar Airways International (MAI).

MAI announced that during the maintenance period — from October 29, 2025, to January 1, 2026 — several flight schedules have been adjusted. The airline urged passengers to check their updated flight times before departure and to make any necessary arrangements for transit flights in advance.

The temporary nighttime closure is part of a scheduled runway improvement project aimed at enhancing airport safety and efficiency, MAI said.
