In Hopang District, Nam Tit Town, the UWSA police force arrested a person who had tunneled underground and stolen gold, according to U Nyi Rang, the head of external relations for the Lashio-based UWSA, who posted this on his social network.
It was written that a major theft occurred at a gold shop in Nam Tit Town, Hopang District, in the early morning of September 28. The suspects had entered the shop by tunneling through a water drain to commit the theft.
Regarding the incident, it was reported that many police officers under the command of the Hopang Town Judicial Committee used modern investigative technologies to quickly locate the suspects and their possible hiding places. In this case, the suspect was successfully arrested, and most of the stolen gold jewelry was recovered from their hiding spot. During the interrogation, the suspect admitted to committing the crime and confessed to having sold some of the stolen gold jewelry.
