A high-level Myanmar delegation, led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, visited the Myanmar Theravāda Buddhist Center in Moscow, Russia, on the evening of March 3.

Accompanied by Myanmar’s Ambassador to Russia, U Thit Linn Ohn, and military attachés from the army, navy, and air force, the delegation paid respects to the residing abbot, Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Dr. Bhaddanta Issariya, at the center’s monastic premises.

During the visit, they discussed religious matters, the monastic community’s living conditions, travel arrangements, and the needs of the Theravāda Buddhist Center. The delegation also inquired about ongoing Buddhist missionary activities and the expansion of Theravāda Buddhism in Russia, pledging necessary support.

Following the discussions, the delegation members observed Buddhist precepts, listened to Dhamma teachings, and made offerings, including donations of funds and essential items, to the abbot and the resident monks.
