The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced on January 30 that night temperatures may drop slightly in upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Shan states in next two days.

According to the forecast, Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and a few clouds over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Light rains are likely to be isolated in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway, lower Sagaing regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine states and partly cloudy in the remaining regions and states.

Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. There may be a slight decrease of night temperatures in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Shan states.

During the past 24 hours, light rains have been isolated in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyawady regions and Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Magway, lower Sagaing regions and Chin, Rakhine states and partly cloudy in the remaining regions and states.
