The government’s Overseas Employment Agency has announced the examination schedules for the second batch of the EPS-TOPIK manufacturing sector, with a total of 37,957 applicants expected to take the exam.

According to the agency, the EPS-TOPIK second batch exams will take place in February, March, April, and May 2025. This follows the first batch of EPS-TOPIK manufacturing exams, held from June 3 to October 15 (including re-takers), which saw a total of 48,000 participants. Out of these, only 5,540 passed the test.

The successful candidates from the first batch attended a Skills Test at Yangon University of Education in Kamayut Township from November 24 to 26. After the Skills Test, the final pass list revealed that 5,377 out of the 5,540 candidates passed, while 163 failed.

The release of the results for the first batch sparked criticism among examinees, as only 5,540 out of 48,000 participants passed, with the highest score being 97.5 out of 100.

The government agency further announced that those who successfully passed the EPS-TOPIK and Skills Test (First Batch for Manufacturing and Group-1 for Service Sector) would be invited to apply for jobs by late December 2024 or early January 2025.

In the announcement, it was advised that applicants maintain good health and ensure their passports have a validity of at least one year to meet the requirements.
