On October 25, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation declared that gold trading services are officially considered an essential service.

According to Notification No. 35/2024, issued on October 24, the Union Government has classified gold trading under Section 4, Sub-section (c) of the Important Goods and Services Law, granting the Ministry authority to issue protective, regulatory, and supervisory orders for this service as deemed necessary.
