Around 800 residents of Kwinshar Village, located in Ngathachaung Township, Ayeyarwady Region, are in dire need of assistance after floodwaters have persisted for over a month. The flooding began on July 15 in Kwinshar Village, part of the Ohnpinsu village tract, and the water has yet to recede.

"Flooding has been ongoing since last month, and the water still hasn't gone down. Our relief group visited the village to distribute essential food and clothing on behalf of donors," said an official from the Karuna Kanlat Social Assistance and Relief  Association.

The village comprises about 200 houses, with residents struggling to access food due to the prolonged flooding. "The primary need right now is food. The stagnant water has made it challenging to secure enough supplies," the official added.

Additionally, the village’s fields are submerged, exacerbating food scarcity and making daily life increasingly difficult.
