The female administrator of May Ga Giri Ward in Aungmyaethazan Township, Mandalay Region, and her younger sister were shot dead this morning, according to locals.
The victims were attacked at the corner of 18th Street and 81st Street (A) in May Ga Giri Ward.
Daw Phyo Thandar Aung, the female administrator, and her younger sister Daw Khin Phon Hsu had arrived at a goat meat shop by car.
After purchasing goat meat, they were shot by two unidentified men on a motorcycle as they returned from the shop.
The shooting resulted in fatal injuries to Daw Phyo Thandar Aung and her sister, who were wounded in their right eye and the protuberance of the occiput. They succumbed to their injuries on the scene.
