Mawlamyine Railway Station announced that train schedules between Yangon and Mawlamyine have been canceled as the railway tracks are flooded at Bago Railway Station.

The announcement also reported that the tracks were submerged on Bridge No. 60 within the compound of Bago Railway Station, preventing trains from passing through.

Train services No. 81 and No. 82 between Mawlamyine and Yangon were temporarily canceled today.

“Currently, the flooding in Bago Region has caused the railway tracks to be submerged. That's why we have canceled the train schedules temporarily. We will announce the date for the resumption of train services later,” said an unidentified official from Mawlamyine Railway Station.

The fees for today's train tickets will be refunded at the Mawlamyine Railway Station.
