Robbery suspect found dead with over Ks.300 million, weapons, and ammunition in KBZ Bank (1) in Sagaing heist

According to the Ministry of Information, a man involved in the robbery of Kanbawza Bank (1) in Pabedan Ward, Sagaing Region, was found deceased along with over Ks.300 million in cash, weapons, and ammunition.

The incident occurred on June 19 at 4:30 pm when four men on two motorcycles robbed the bank. Upon receiving reports of the robbery, joint patrol teams swiftly responded and conducted a raid at the scene. They seized two mobile phones, a handmade pistol used in the robbery, 9 mm bullets, a bomb, and the two motorcycles.

During the operation, one of the robbery suspects was killed. According to investigations, the perpetrators were identified as a group led by PDF Battalion (2) Sagaing District, based in Paunghla village. The deceased suspect was identified as Ko Naung from this group, under the leadership of Sinrai, also known as Khine Zaw Lin.

Security forces have intensified efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects who fled the scene. They have implemented security measures by blocking entry and exit points in the city to aid in the identification and arrest of the fugitives.
