The toll gate, the entrance to the town of Kyaukme in northern Shan State, was hit by an attack, after which four bodies were found and some trucks were found damaged, said an official from the Namkhon Shans Charity Organization (Kyaukme Branch).

The attack took place at about 8pm on November 27 at the Asia World Toll Gate in Kuaukme. And the following morning, some people near the gate requested for picking up the dead bodies, the official said.

"At about 8 pm, we heard both gunfire and heavy gunfire, and it took a long time. This morning after receiving information, we went to the scene and transported the dead bodies,” he added.

Four bodies were found near the gate, and some of the bodies could not be identified.

"Some of the bodies could not be identified. We don't know who they are. We don't know if they're truck drivers or not. Some bodies are like big chunks of charcoal as they were burnt," the official said.

Large damage was reported in the attack on the Asia World Gate in the town of Kyaukme.

On the morning of November 28, residents of Kyaukme said that the situation was a bit calm except heavy gunfire sometimes.

"This morning we heard heavy gunfire around 1am. We heard the sound of two or three rounds of firing, and the rest of the time was calm," said a Kyaukme resident.
