Deputy Prime Minister of Myanmar and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and concerned officials met Mr. Chen Hai, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar separately in Nay Pyi Taw on November 23, announced the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
The statement from the Chinese Embassy only stated that they exchanged views on matters of mutual concern in these separate meetings, and did not mention which personnel from the military side they met with.
In the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar regarding the above meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Union Minister U Than Swe received the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, Mr. Chen Hai, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on November 23, and exchanged views on issues related to the development and strengthening of bilateral relations and the continued implementation of joint venture projects based on the kinship friendship that exists between Myanmar and China, as well as the issues on which the two sides will continue to cooperate for stability and law and order along the Myanmar-China border region.
At present, there are Chinese nationals living illegally in Myanmar at the Myanmar-China border and gambling online and committing online financial fraud are being arrested and transferred back to China from Myanmar.
In northern Shan State, northern alliance armed groups such as Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), Arakan Army (AA) and Bamar People's Liberation Army (BPLA) and PDF (Mandalay) attacked Laukkai, Kunlong, Hsenwi, Lashio, Kutkai and Namkham including Chinshwehaw in Kokang Self-Administered Zone at the same time starting at 4:00 am on October 27. Since the start of the battle with the Tatmadaw, large and small battles have taken place throughout northern Shan State. Road communications have also been disrupted, trade has been suspended, and tens of thousands of civilians who have fled the war along the Chinese border have been trapped. It is reported that more than 60,000 IDPs have fled their homes in the northern part of Shan State.
