Two sisters got into a fight with a sword in Kyonekayoke village, Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, around 8:30 pm of October 15, according to the nearby residents.

A dispute that started between two sisters over an inheritance case ended up with a woman with the swords, according to the neighbourhood residents.

“Two sisters quarreled about their parents’ inheritance. The elder sister knifed her younger sister who got severe injuries,” said one of the locals.

The Thanbyuzayat Social Welfare Association took the victim to Thanbyuzayat Township Hospital for medical treatments. However, Thanbyuzayat Township Hospital transferred the patient to Yangon General Hospital because the victim had the fatal stabbings.
