A house in Thanbyuzayat, Kyaikto Township was cordoned off on September 11 in accordance with counter-terrorism law, according to residents.
A resident said that the compound of the house that was sealed off was owned by U San Ya in Ward No. 3, Thanbyuzayat.
"Yesterday (September 11) at noon, soldiers, the police and staff from the administration council came and hung the sign," the resident added.
According to people close to the security forces, U San Ya is a member of the KRF, which is carrying out terrorist activities in Kyaikto Township, and the compound of his house was sealed under the counter-terrorism law.
On August 29, a house in the rural area of Kyaikto was sealed off and confiscated under the counter-terrorism law, according to residents.
According to local residents, at least 15 homes of NLD MPs, supporters of the party and political activists have been sealed off under the counter-terrorism law.
