A physical training teacher from Yedwingyi Village Middle School in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State, and his wife were killed after being stabbed and stoned, according to local sources.
U Khin Maung Latt, aged 54, and his wife Daw Nan Hon, aged 37, were at home when PDF (people’s defence force) members arrived there on the night of July 12. The couple was then stabbed and stoned, and they died of injuries to their heads and faces.
Security forces are reportedly investigating the murder case to expose and arrest those involved.
