Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that meeting of Cooperation on Non-Traditional Security Matters among MLC countries organized by Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies was held at Chatrium Hotel in Yangon on July 14.

It was attended by members of Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (Myanmar-ISIS), professors and research fellows from the respective Think Tanks from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and China.

At the ceremony, deputy foreign minister U Kyaw Myo Htut delivered an opening speech. Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai spoke about matters concerning Cooperation on Non-Traditional Security Matters among MLC countries. Afterwards, president of Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies delivered an address.

Those attended the meeting cordially discussed matters on  cooperation mechanism to address the terrorism, human trafficking related online gambling and scamming, cyber-crimes, so also reduction of food security and extreme poverty.
