The information team of the State Administration Council (SAC) announced on May 9 that in applying for a license to carry arms and munitions, applicants will not be asked how they obtained their guns, but they must apply together with the arms they have got.
According to the announcement, it is learnt that some people illegally carry arms and ammunition for their personal security concerns as there are killings of innocent people today. Although the original intention is for personal security, one’s mind can change at any time when in possession of arms and munitions. Moreover, the illegal possession of a gun can cause firearm misuse, which is not in conformity with the law. Therefore, the SAC will manage to grant gun licenses systematically as per the policy of carrying arms and munitions.
In applying for a license to carry arms and munitions, applicants will not be asked how they got the gun, but they must apply for it together with the arms that they want to carry. Upon the applications, there will be reviews and scrutiny as per the policy of carrying arms and munitions, and licenses will be granted to those who meet the specific requirements. Action will be taken against those who do not apply for licenses together with their arms and munitions during the fixed period.
