An explosion occurred near the back gate of Basic Education High School No.13 in Mahaaungmyay Township, Mandalay Region, on the morning of January 2, according to a statement released by Myanmar Police Force.
Two men arrived on a motorbike near the back gate of the school located on 83rd Street between 36th Street and 37th Street in Yadana Bonmi East Ward in Mahaaungmyay Township, threw a homemade bomb and fled. The bomb dropped near the school gate and exploded. There was no damage or casualty.
Police sources said security forces are investigating the case to expose and arrest the attackers.
