Japanese companies to recruit over 600 Myanmar workers

224 Japanese companies will recruit more than 600 Myanmar workers, the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced on December 30.

In a statement, the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo is verifying the job offer letters (demand letters) sent through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Ministry of Labor in a timely manner.

In carrying out such verification, the embassy is verifying whether the labor inspection company and the factories/companies recruiting workers are legally established in Japan or not. The findings and remarks are being sent back to the Ministry of Labor through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Myanmar Embassy verified the job offer letters from December 16 to 30, 2022 and notified 224 job offer letters to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 224 companies from Japan are planning to recruit 641 Myanmar workers (males and females), it said.
