A grenade was thrown at a Mytel telecom tower in Chanmyathazi township, Mandalay city, at about 6pm on October 15, wounding two people nearby and damaging a car.
The bomb was reportedly thrown by two men on a motorbike. The two injured are a woman living in a house near the telecom tower in Dawnachan Ward and another woman who was passing by. They were hit by shrapnel. Moreover, a car parked in a house compound was damaged, according to local sources.
The wounded were sent to hospital for medical treatment and measures are being taken to expose and arrest the assailants.
