NAYPYITAW----The Tatmadaw is paving the way for multiparty democracy for the State by building the Union based on democracy and federalism. Deserved federal rights will be given, Chairman of State Administration Council (SAC) made a speech at the SAC meeting (8/2022) held in Nay Pyi Taw on September 27th.

"With regard to peace, the second phase of talks is in progress. No one must turn a blind eye to the Constitution (2008) and the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA. Ethnic armed organizations demanded an amendment to the Constitution. Amendments can be based on voting at the Hluttaw. The government is striving for holding a free and fair election. And the government is meeting with EAOs to seek the agreements in advance," said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
