According to the information released by the anti-narcotic drug squad on May 22, heroin worth 23.45 million kyats was seized in Shwepyithar township, Yangon Region.
Acting on a tipoff , the anti-drug squad searched the house of Wei Lin Naing of Tharaphi lane 2, 19th ward in Shwepyithar township at 3 pm on May 21, and found and seized 670 grams of heroin worth Ks23.45 million and a mobile phone.
Wei Lin Naing was booked under the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law by the Shwepyithar Police Station, and efforts are underway to look for other links connected with the seizure.
