According to the information released by the anti-drug squad, amphetamines worth 1.58 billion kyats were seized in Mingaladon township, Yangon Region, on March 27.

Acting on a tipoff at 3pm on March 25, the anti-drug squad searched the vehicle with Ni Lin Aung (aka) Mon Lay at the wheel and accompanied by Khine Moe Lin (aka) Ko Khine on Gandamar Road, Pale Ward 2, and 400,000 amphetamines tablets were seized.

Upon continued investigation, the house of Aah Lo, owner of the tablets at No 319, Khine Shwe War Road, Pale Ward 1, Mingaladon township,  was searched and Pyae Son Aung, Zaw Myo Naing (aka) Zay Yei (aka) Kalar and Ma Yuwadi Aung were apprehended together with 15.8 hundred thousand tablets worth 1.58 billion kyats were seized.

Those in connection with the case have been prosecuted, and further investigation was being made to find others connected with the crime.
