YANGON----After the deep depression was crossing to the Ayeyawddy Region on March 22nd, some locals who fled to Labutta Township due to the strong storm already returned back home on Wednesday, according to Labutta Heart Social Organization.

“The passengers’ ferries plied in the morning of March 23rd.There are only 1,000 storm victims in Labutta downtown,” said an unidentified official from Labutta Heart Social Organization.

As the news saying that the well-marked low depression will be moving to Ayeyawaddy Region, over 2,000 victims fled to the downtown of Labutta Township and they had taken shelter at the monasteries.

Although there was no serious damage in the downtown of Labutta Township, the villages faced a little damage, according to Labutta Heart Social Organization.

Currently, there is no high tide and the water level decreased since yesterday morning, according to Labutta dwellers.

According to the observation at 11:30 hrs M.S.T yesterday, the well-marked low depression which had moved near Thandwe Township, Rakhine State is now moving to North-Northeast near Mindone Township, Magway Region. It is coded as brown stage.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology estimated that the well-marked low depression can move onto North-Northeast and it is gradually weak and changes into low depression.
