YANGON- Gun Shots have been fired at a traffic police outpost in the intersection of Bargayar Road and Lower Kyee Myint Daing Road in Sanchaung Township on October 23rd around 2:30 pm, according to nearby residents.
According to initial news reports, a few security forces are reportedly injured while one has been shot dead.
“A large number of soldiers have arrived at the police outpost, and they are doing a lot of inspections and questioning. They have blocked one side of the road. One security force who was providing security to the traffic outpost has been shot dead,” says a resident of Sanchaung.
Ambulances have arrived at the scene of the shooting and have taken the people injured in the shooting, according to nearby residents.
There was also another shooting today (October 23rd) around 5 am at a traffic police outpost in Bothahtaung Township. There may have been casualties in this shooting.
