Rescuers found three bricklayers alive under the debris of a collapsed building

A search and rescue operation is underway when a building under construction collapsed at the corner of Mayu Road in East Dagon Township at around 9 am on October 15.

The site of the building collapsed was at the corner of Kyansittha Road and Mayu Road in Ward 6, and three male bricklayers were rescued alive and search and rescue operations are underway to find eight more construction workers, said Thein Tun Oo, director of the Myanmar Fire Services Department.

At present, search and rescue vehicles from East Dagon Township fire station, two Emergency Medical Service vehicles from the headquarters of Myanmar Fire Services Department, search and rescue special forces are performing search and rescue operations with one search and rescue vehicle and one lifting vehicle rescue truck.
