A shooting took place at Ngamoe Yeik Bridge (Bo Ba Htoo) Bridge in North Okkalapa Township and an explosion occurred in Mayangone Township, according to residents.

A police outpost on the Ngamoe Yeik Bridge on Khema Thi Road in North Okkalapa Township was under attacked by gunmen came with a van at around 9:30 am on October 14 and both sides exchanged fire.

"The gunmen came with a van. The car came from North Dagon to North Okkalapa and shot at a police outpost on the bridge,” said a resident.

Moreover an explosion occurred in front of the Yangon Region Labor Directorate's office at the corner of Pyay Road and Nagaryone Road, Ward 5, Mayangone Township, at around 8:30 am on October 14, according to the residents.

Fragments from the explosion were found near the site of the blast.
