Another man was shot dead in Kanyinai Village, Theinzayat, Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, on the afternoon of August 21, local reports said.  

U Aye Win, aged 60, was shot dead by two unidentified men. They arrived at his home grocery on a motorbike, pretended to buy something and opened fire about four times on him. The shop owner died on the spot.

“U Aye Win ran a home grocery at the edge of Kanyinai Village. We learnt that the gunmen killed him after pretending to buy from his shop,” said a resident in Theinzayat.

On August 17 also in Theinzayat, U Thein Win was shot to death by two unknown gunmen while he was at his betel quid shop.  

Again on August 18, an administrative member of Kinmonchaung Village in Kyaikhto Township was shot and killed by four gunmen at his home, local people reported.
