As some factories in Industrial Zones remain closed during public holiday period and so laborers are facing difficulties as they couldn’t get their salaries , as stated by workers.

 One laborer said, " During this month we worked till 13th of this month. As the owner cannot pay the salary till the end of the month we have to rest. If we have to work next month it has been agreed on that 15% of the salary will be given. No salary is given for the present public holiday as they can't give. In some factories there is work and payment is given. In some factories only daily wagers are used and on days there is no work they don't get paid ".

The worker continued to say that as there is no work, they have difficulty to pay rent for hostels and for household expenses. 

 He further said that as there was no work, difficulties were noticeable more than before. There is difficulty to pay for hostel and house rent. Due to this difficulty those returning home are increasing. Those quitting their jobs are increasing. No other jobs were available at the moment, he continued.

 During the public holiday period, some factories are closed while some open and some workers go to work, said one worker.

 One worker said that the factory she is working isn’t closed in the holiday. In the past it was closed for 9 days,  but right now she has to go to work.

 The laborers that go to work have difficulties for taking leave.

 The above worker said that without any medical certificate issued by social welfare, they have difficulty to take leave if they are sick. No other medical certificate is valid. The Social Security office is far away and so it is not possible.

 According to some workers, some factories in some industrial zones were temporarily closed while some closed for good. 

 One worker said that the factory she was working in had announced that it would close temporarily, but till date it was not open, and so she had to rest. There wasn't any work.
