YANGON------Khin Kyaw, an executive member of National League for Democracy (NLD) on 57th Ward, in South Dagon Township, Yangon Region, was shot dead on the night of July 5th, and his wife got injuries according to neighbouring residents.

Moreover, a woman who worked at the public restroom in No.7 Market of Tharkayta Township was shot around 1pm of July 5th , sustaining an injury on her shoulder.

Likewise, Maung Maung from Insein Township, Yangon Region, was shot dead on the morning of June 30th and a female staff from administrative office on 72 Ward in South Dagon Township and a man from Gabuegwe Market in Thingangyun Township were shot dead on June 28th and 29th.

In Yangon Region, there have been frequent incidents of ward administrators getting gunned down but some managed to live.
