Laukkaing Township, within the Special Administrative Zone of Kokkang, Shan State, is now under the Stay-at-Home program, according to the nightly news report from state owned MRTV.

The news broadcast said that due to rising cases of Covid-19, Laukkaing is now inclusive within the the Stay-at-Home program by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The order dictates for residents to stay home except those that are working, for only one person to leave home for such things as essential grocery trips, limiting only one person to accompany the patient on trips to the clinic or hospital, to wear a mask at all times, to only allow authorized vehicles to go over township boundries and so on.

Failure to obey will be taken action against starting from 4am of June 28. 

Similarly, Lashio Township in Shan State and Phyu in Bago Region have also been placed under the Stay-at-Home program.
