Dr SaSa, appointed as Myanmar representative for the United Nations (UN) by the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), has been charged with high treason at Dakhina District Court on March 15 and issued a warrant, according to the Myawaddy TV.
The report said he is charged with Section 122 (2) of the Penal Code.
He has been charged so under seven reasons, including the acceptance of the post of Myanmar representative for the UN, encouraging embassy staffs to join the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), encouraging the international communities to impose sanctions on Myanmar, requesting Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and holding discussions with ethnic armed organizations (EAOs).
It also said he is making efforts to escalate internal conflicts and to remove the State Administration Council (SAC).
