Mandalay staged peaceful protests on March 15 although they faced fierce crack down by security forces. They paid one minute of silent vigil to people killed in the previous crackdowns and shouted slogans and gave talks.

Lawyers and other organizations also staged protests by riding motorcycles around Mandalay. 

A woman was killed when the security forces and police cleared the debris with wheel loader at the 41 street and 84 street in the evening of March 14
